Susan Bowerman, registered dietitian is here! #AskSusan your #nutrition questions now! #Herbalife
Q. Roberta asks: why is skipping meals bad? #AskSusan
A. Roberta, blood sugar drops after going without food for a long time & you might get tired & may eat too much at the next meal #AskSusan
Q. @Herbalife what’s the best ‘snacks’ to quench appetite between meals? #AskSusan
A. @forgie1973 Choose protein based snacks: hummus, cottage cheese or #Herbalife snacks are a good starting point #AskSusan
Q. @Herbalife so carrot sticks and almonds/ walnuts are a no no?? #AskSusan
A. @forgie1973 Carrot sticks & hummus would provide more protein; nuts are healthy fats, but aren’t a go-to #protein source #AskSusan
Q.@Herbalife Do you have a meal plan for a woman trying to lose weight?
A. @FDrMonique1922 Yes! Take a look at my 1200 or 1500 calorie meal plans on https://discovergoodnutrition.com #AskSusan
Q. Jenny asks: any tips to avoid #HolidayWeightGain?
A. Stick with your #fitness plan; don’t go a party with a growling tummy, try an #HerbalifeShake before you step out #AskSusan
Q. Lucida asks: is red meat bad? Why?
A. #RedMeat has more saturated fat & cholesterol than most other proteins. Lean cuts in moderation are ok
Q. Denise asks: Can I eat whatever I want as long as it’s within my calorie limits? #AskSusan
A. Choose wisely to pack the most #nutrition into your calories. A carrot is better than carrot cake! #AskSusan pic.twitter.com/XUkqO800JJ
Q. Daria asks: How do I keep my #diet and #fitness resolutions all year? #AskSusan
A. Hi Daria, write down your goals & keep them in sight! I post my goals on the fridge, where will you post yours? http://hrbl.me/VyLR8K
Q. George asks: What is your favorite vegetable, Susan? And which vegetable should people eat more often? #AskSusan
A. Hi George! I really love broccoli because it’s so versatile. Raw, steamed, roasted … it’s all good. #AskSusan pic.twitter.com/OjQg7Rl44J
A. Most people don’t eat enough veggies & they’re all good for you! Susan’s Challenge: Try a new one weekly. Get 3 servings each day! #AskSusan
Q. @Herbalife will using the formula 1 powder in porridge ‘kill’ the nutrients because of the heat? #AskSusan
A. @LukeJohnHanlon No, in fact it’s a great way to boost the protein & flavor of porridge! #AskSusan
Q. @Herbalife since more & more people are vegan- is omega better absorbed in body from grounded flaxseeds or flax seed oil? Thank you 🙂
A. @Anchi46 Great question! Both ground flaxseed and oil provide Omega 3’s. The oil may be slightly better absorbed. #AskSusan
Q. @Herbalife #AskSusan can a cup of the herbalife tea count toward your daily water intake?
